We have a store on a not-too-old version of Aloha that is switching to Cardnet as their processor, which I am assuming is CES.

Is this correct? I'm questioning this now because I the setup sheet I don't see a DID.

Thanks!

CES/Cardnet and Aloha don't play well. Just a warning... Make sure the setup sheet is for high speed processing. That's also something I have gone round and round with cardnet "tech" support

Does anyone know if info sent by Aloha over the Internet is encrypted in versions of 5.3?

Cardnet / CES / First Data runs quite well on Aloha. The biggest thing to keep in mind during setup is the physical routing of transactions. First Data is the processor but First Data IPN is the handler,(similar to frame relay). Make sure you get a unique DID for First Data IPN as it is not the same DID as First Data. The TID will be the same. Make sure you are set up for a restaurant (tipped, 5812) environment. This should be First Data North (Nashville). If the processing is being set up by a bank they may screw up the DID issue and or account type so be carefull. After that it's smooth.
