Hi, I'm strugling for a card slot to install new extensions. On bus 2-0-70 I have brdid 87 16ts and 2-0-73 I have the LPU 4ts.
Would command cnboi:bpos=2-0-72,brdid=77,numind=12; work???
Cheers

Does so,(with 8) I tried it and it worked, but I bow to my peers and cancelled it in case it causes problems with the cpu.
Thanks again.
Cheers

You can "force" a board in a slot with the CNBOI command.....however, the fact that you get "EXECUTED" as the response back from the switch when you send the command, does not mean that anything you initiate on that board will function.

If you can't initiate a new board in a slot with the command "CNHUI:BPOS=XX-X-XX;" , then don't bother trying to fool the system.

C-ya,

Thanks Dave, I'm going to replace brdid 2 with 87s to create space.
Cheers.

Hi, Dave, hi, all!
May be you would clearified the use of this 7x slots for magazines - eg can I use 7x slots in MAG0 if the LPU in 1-0-63 position? Can I install TLU76 or ELU29/28 in 7x slots in MAG1/2/3 ?

Thanks to all

in fact the LPU5 can be put in any position (except x-0-00 and needw at least 4 timeslots).

the "LPU" position in many magtypes is in reality the 1-0-73 position.

some tips :

put your LPU on a 32 time slot position (like 1-0-70 or even 1-0-60) and let it use those 32 time slots, your system will be faster, this is even recommended for larger (multi-lim) systems...

Hirei : in your case the 1-0-7x position can be taken because the LPU resides at 1-0-63, there are no restricitions on the of board, as long as you respect the number of timeslots each card uses...

Cheers
