Greetings,
We hada power issue this weekend. My MIRAN Card was down, so I identified that card and reset it. No More Errors. In looking in the shelf, I have these 2 cards that have a red indicator light on them. Normally I would think that his is either they are off or bad. The cards have a part number of NT8D09Al - Rise 2. At the top with the two lights it says ANLG or something like that. How can I tell if these cards are disabled or are not working? Thank you in advance.

It appears that you have a Nortel NT8D09AL 16 Port Analog Message Waiting Line Card. The card could be plugged in, but was never configured and this would give you a Red LED at the top of the card in the same way if you had any other extension cards digital or FALC's that weren't programmed up.

It might be wise to go into the configuration and stat the card slot to confirm it's spare. What I tend to do for any card that isn't used, is to unplug it and leave it resting in the card slot so that it doesn't give you any errors as you have discovered.

Thank you for your response. I'll be honest with you. How would I look at the programming of that card? I appreciate your assistance

It's a case of what you know on logging into the phone system as it can be confusing. We need to know what type of phone system you have as they come in different sizes. The smaller Option 11 ones were wall or rack mounted. I think it would be an idea to send in a photo of the cabinet or shelf.

It might be possible from the photo to work out the card slot of your FALC.

Hope this helps. Link

All I know is CS1000 7.6. I've just learned over the years on checking licenses, making ACD's,normal changes and some MIRAN stuff.

That is a CS1000 Single Group or Multi Group. You will need to stat the analog card in ld 32 to see if it is enabled or disable.

First of all you need to know the loop number, visually you can figure out the card slot number. A TN in these is associated like this

Loop 4
Shelf 0
Card 0
Unit 0

A Valid TN would be 4 0 0 0

To stat the card would be in LD 32

stat 4 0 0

That's why I asked for a photo!.

The FALC card looks to be in slot 12. The shelf is marked with the loop and as was mentioned above by KCFLHRC, you should be able to stat the card in LD 10, 32 etc.

I couldn't quite make out those details from the photo.

Thank you KCFHRC and Firebirdscrambler. I will be trying this shortly.

Sorry about that Firebird. I know how to find the cards 28 0 3 8 I believe (im not at that building right now). I will share the result shortly

So 28 0 3 is your card and 8 is the unit number on the card so you would stat 28 0 3

Also keep in mind that's just a label. The 12 0. The only real way to know for sure is look at the controller number flashing and then print the superloop info in LD 97

Thank you guys. The card is bad. Waiting on a replacement
