I have been nursing SKW 2.0 on XP Pro for several years, and love it like everyone else. Very few problems, but one recurring: Occasionally I will click to any card in a Cardfile and find that the accumulated card log/notes are blank, gone. This has happened many times and I have tried to chase it down by opening and closing files etc. but to no avail. It's probably a corrupted file but.... which one? Anyone ever run into this before, and is there a fix?? Thanks....

Dear techevents,

The only thing I can think of is to create another cardfile with the same fieldnames and then copy all the cards from the existing one into that cardfile as the corruption would usually be in the cardfile fields and not the card data.

Otherwise open them in Internet Sidekick and then save as .csv file and then open them in CSVEd and go for a repair .csv file.
Get CSVed from:

Hope that helps,
Let us know how you get on too.

Jim, thanks for the response. Actually, this happens in all of my cardfiles, and I have dozens of them. I could copy back all the info into CSV etc. but it seems like it might be a global control file problem. The Card Log Notes just disappear from any given card from any given file, seemingly at random, never to return. I can get the notes for that particular card from backup, but that is tedious and doesn't capture recent entries. Is there some global file that controls & affects those Card Log Notes that may be corrupted??

Dear techevents,

Then I suggest that you install Sidekick98 and the patch and you would avoid the problem.

Jim
