I have a database that I inherited, that doesn't have a good method of allowing me to track records. It has 150 records in it and what I want to print on a report the coresponding record number to the event. For example, if I want to work on record 15 of 150, how can I capture the #15 and put it on my report. I'm sure there is an easy way of doing it, but I can't figure it out.

Access doesn't have record numbers. Tables should have a primary key field or fields that uniquely identify each record. You can use this primary key to filter the records displayed in a report. If you don't have a primary key and want to add one, the easiest method might be to add an autonumber field and make it your primary key.
