Capturing still images from Video/DVD

I've been using Corel PP to capture still images/single frames from videos and DVDs. I can set up the File/Aquire/Select Source dialog to look for the the USB capture device for input, but there's nothing to indicate the resolution or size I'd like the captured frame to be. There seems to be a set default but it's not large enough for my purposes.
Does anybody know of a way to re-set PP's default capture size?

That wouldn't be something that Photopaint configures, but whatever the settings are with your capture device.
