capture question please

I have the cannon xl2 witch has a great picture, when
i view the movie in the premiere pro capture window it looks great,
seems when i get the movie in the time line the res seems lower, when i export the movie using Export- adobe media coder to my desktop the movie is wavy looks like a YouTube movie it loose all the clearness..

any help would be great..

Preview on the computer will always be somewhat reduced in quality due to the de-interlaced monitor.

Compressing through Media Encoder for viewing on a computer will always have some effect on quality,. If you are seeing artifacts, then maybe you are using too low a data rate for the output?

What video output format and settings are you using?
