Capture Keyboard

Is there a way to capture the Keyboard. I run a program at night on my server and sometimes I come in and it is shutdown. I want to be able to capture all key strokes and on the first key press display a prompt letting them know not to use that system. I dont want to lock it or activate the screen saver lock. I want it left open and just control the keyboard entries. This way I can also stop them from locking the system with the ctrl-alt-del key combination.

Do you have any suggestions? Do not know where to begin.
