I turned the capture file on in the morning close it at night. I run a playback. How come all of the beginning part of the capture file is missing? Do I have something setup wrong?

Try opening the capture file in a text editor and see if the beginning is present there. If so, then the problem is likely that the capture file holds more than the current scrollback buffer in Procomm can handle. You can increase this limit by selecting the Options | Data Options | Terminal Options menu item in Procomm and increasing the Scrollback pages value.
