To my knowledge, in our company, there are computers running these different Windows versions (All Pro versions, best I understand):
[ul]
[li]Windows XP[/li]
[li]Windows 7[/li]
[li]Windows 10[/li]
[/ul]
We're in the process now of replacing at least most of the computers (probably all but maybe the newer Windows 10 machines), but I just had a random thought moment. I'd love to be able to log all the event logs from all the computers in order to build some bigger picture analysis of problems/issues, and maybe be able to build some sort of red flags for me or the IT Director to look into.
Does anyone know of any really good / easy / cheap or free solutions to help with this?
I'd prefer to just somehow capture everything as raw data and import into Excel perhaps on a regular basis, or even if it's just something I can do say once a month.
Thanks for any thoughts. At this point, it's just a wild brainstorm of mine. I thought about it after someone asked me about a scan disk operation that kicked off on their work computer (Windows XP) a few minutes ago.
I did find this discussion which sounds like it has a lot of information so far:
Thanks for any thoughts
