Hi

Some time ago I used to have a small dos based program that would capture the com port to a text file which I ran when doing listups of older systems. A few changes of computer later and I seem to have lost it and can't even remember what it was called. I now find that I'm dealing with a number of IVSs and could use that functionality again.

Do any of you use such a program and if so what is it called and where can I get it?

Thanks in advance

Ozzie

The only thing that comes to mind is the old NEAX 1400 list out program. It loaded on top of the old 1400 DOS mat program. But it could also be loaded on top of the old DOS IVS program. I need to dust off some old boxes in the basement and see if I still have it.

I found a copy of the list out program. I do not know how to get it to you.

The owner of the web site has removed my post which had a temporary email address so at the moment I am at a loss as to how to help you get it to me!

Be patient, I have a way to get it to you but I need a day or so to get it in place. It will be a web site with a files you need that can be downloaded from there. Stay tuned.

Thanks

Sorry to put you to so much trouble. I was just a bit peeved that an innocent attempt to swap a file was deleted whilest blatant touting business was being left unchecked in another thread!

I know of a web site that is currently under development. I was able to reach out to the developer and they agreed to post the files on the site while it is still under construction. The site is listed below. It will be available for only a few days, then placed back under development until it's ready.

Got that thanks but I don't think it was the one I had in mind. The app I was thinking of was a simple dos program that captured the com data to a text file so that if you were to do a face layout in the old ICS enhanced mat, you could then print it out. I'll keep looking but thanks anyway!

ozzie i think you are talking about a virtual printer .
try this one
The bat file is how we used to start it up to log the printer output to a text file

I also had another more advanced one somewhere , ill see if i can find it

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
