Hi guys,
Has any of you recently tested a captive portal wireless network with IE7 ?
It seems like theres a security feature or something in the new IE that prevents HTTP redirect. I didn't have much time yet to sort this through but I have not been able to display the portal webpage using IE7 (any other / older browser works just fine, it really is a new feature of IE)
Anyway, I'm just wondering if any of you guys have already noticed it or found a way to work through it.
BTW, we are using Trapeze wireless solution but the portal is a stand-alone server (we are not using the portal built in the MX switch) ...
Thanks a lot
ps : and don't tell me just not to use IE7, as I don't
but one of our SSID is open and accessed by random clients/consultants through the portal and soon they probably will be using IE7 and I'm going to get some phone calls
