Is there a way either within Win 98 or using an outside utility to reassign (or disable) the CAPS LOCK key? I am forever hitting it unintentionally on my new laptop. Major pain!<br>

Not too sure about reassigning it through Windows. I know there are some utilities out there that allow keys to be reassigned but none for the caps lock. However, I have the same problem you do. (maybe it's the small keyboard or just big, clumsy fingers!) Making the caps lock audible worked for me. Go to Control Panel - Accessibility Options. In the Keyboard tab there is an option for ToggleKeys. When this option is checked, an audible sound is made when caps lock, num lock, and scroll lock are pressed. Not exactly a fix but it definitely helped alot for me.
