Hello there,

I'm evaluating different DB-systems as possible basis for a product my company is developing. Is there anybody who can tell me about restrictions using mysql (like max amount of data, max number of tables / columns / entries, max number of (concurrent) users...) and mysql's behaviour and performance under heavy load?

Thx a lot

Markus

Look on You'll find MySQL is a top performer under load. MySQL gives you several options for storing your data, each with their own capacity limits and features. You really need to read through the documentation on the site.

You'll also need to contact MySQL as regards pricing for the different options.

MySQL stores databases as filesystem directories and tables as sets of files. In general, the limit to the amount of data that can be stored in a table is set by your server's filesystem
