Cap module for 7324 help 1

I installed a CAP to a Norstar 7324 phone. Actually thru the phone, the phone jack cord goes into the CAP and another phone cable connects to the 7324. I believe this is how it is connected since I do not have any manuals on the CAP. The other problem is that I cannot get the phone to recognize the CAP. Any suggestion out there? The 7324 phone works and programs perfectally.

Do you have the power supply with 24V DC running to the Or. Pair of the jack. This will power the Cap.

I have the power supply that comes with the CAP. Does that connect up to the 24VDC phone jack on the back of the CAP? How does the CAP get connected to the 7324. There is only 3 jacks. One is for the headset. One connects to the wall jack. The last one is for the reciever. Do I need a splitter to go between the two?

No just put it on the orange Pair to the Jack T2 - R2 this is all you need to do then reset the phone (unplug) and when it comes up you will see the CAP Flash also. Then you can Program the Keys.

According to the manuals the 7324 can support one CAP without a external power supply. I still do not understand the wiring you recommended. The orange pair is the center two of the phone cord, correct? I have that connection going to the wall jack. There is only 2 jacks on the back of the CAP and 3 jacks on the back of the 7324, which 2 of them are for the headset or reciever?????

OK what I mean by orange pair is in the wall jack - Green, Red telephone. Black, yellow Power. Use a 4 conductor phone cord to wall jack, plug into CAP, CAP to phone.
