I just installed Microsoft Office 2007 and when I try and use help (F1) from any product (email, Excel, Word) I get the error:

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Access is denied.

I didn't have any luck with Google. Any thoughts? I'm thinking about unistalling it and then reinstalling.

In your Internet Explorer (IE), go to Tools, Internet Options and clear all Tempfiles, Cookies and History.

If that does not solve your problem. You will need to repair your version of IE; usually done through Control Panel or Help menu on IE

Thanks for responding. I forgot I posted for help otherwise I would have came back and posted what was wrong. It was silly...I wasn't connected to the internet. In the right hand corner of the help window is a connected or not icon. I just connected.

But that brings up another question. What if I didn't have an internet connection? When I select the "Show content from this computer" option I get the access denied error.

No. You should be able to work offline as long as the files are on your system. Unfortunately, our friend Bill has decided that for help, you should retrieve the info from them.
