hi forum!

im trying to build a basic website for personal knowledge/experiance. the problem is when i connect via that works and when i put the webserver ip on another computer on the lan, that also works. my problem is when i try to see my webpage to the outside world it refuses to work. i have tried changing the listen port from 8080 to 65000 which again works fine on the lan but not on the wan. i have tried port forwarding and that works as i have tried using but still no luck. am i missing something?

thanks in advance

You say you tried port forwarding and that works, but the you say you used canyouseeme and that didn't work. That can't be. What was the result (exact http error code). Are you using the DNS name or the straight IP? (I mean the straight IP of the WAN side of your router?

virtuacasper,

You say that you tried port forwarding and that it works. Is port 65000 forwarded to the LAN IP of the host running Apache?

What error message do you get on the client computer outside of the LAN?
