Can't view OLE field in form?

Can anyone suggest why an OLE field would not display? It must be a settings issue, since it happens on my laptop but not on my desktop. This is not tragic but puzzling.

It may be important to note that this is not viewed on a network, but that I copy db, px and dm files back and forth between the two machines.

I have a similar situation with another form only on the desktop. This is a little more serious, since the form is used primarily for viewing. The OLE object disappears unless I have the form set to field view and the previous memo field selected.

Any thoughts?

Not without more details about the contents of the OLE field and how you're using it. Since it works on one machine, but not another, that suggests a configuration difference between the two. At this point, though, I can't hazard any guesses.

Care to elaborate?

The content is generally a .doc file. It is used to store and view resumes. I suspect it's a very simple needle in a very large haystack.
