I am running Backup Exec V8.6 on a Windows 2000 server in a small business environment. I cannot view the current schedule settings for jobs that I have set up.

When I go to the "Job Definition Management" window and right click on the job I want to review, the only scheduling option I have is "new schedule". When I click this, it shows the "repeat interval" and "days of the week" options I previously selected, but not the time of day I previously set to run the job. The dialog box only shows the system's date and time at that instant.

Is there a way to see what "effective date" and "start time" are currently set for a particular job, or do these always reset to the actual time and date at the instant when the schedule dialog box is opened?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Joe,
This is a quirk of BE 8.6. I have been told it will not be fixed until the next release. For now, the best way to view the effective date and time, is to first create the job definition, then switch to the Activity Monitor.

Verify that you can see the scheduled jobs in the view pane. (Select the monitor ICON with the clock in the left hand corner on the menu bar.) You should see your newly scheduled job in the view pane. The start time should be displayed.

Too view the effective time and other date/time details about the job, right click on the job, then select properties.
