I am trying to add some ghost line with the DN 7001 to 7004 but i get

PHANTOM DNS MUST BE DEFINED AND BE UNIQUE.

So i did a prt of the DN 7001 and it says

NO ACT SINCE NO DATE

Where can i find if 7001 is used or do i need to specify the digits available fo extensions?

Thanks

2 ways to see:

1) LD 20 print a DNB of just 70. If those numbers are being used for anything, you will see.

2) LD 20, print an LUDN of 7. It will show you all available numbers in the 7 range.

Ok, the DNB and LUDN type didn't show me the desired DN

DNB gave me a bunch of 700 (TYPE PARK)

LUDN gave me DN in the 7400 to 7999 range

Is it possible I need to "activate" the 7000-7399 range?

You can only start using what is available and unassigned. LUDN shows what is available and unassigned.

Here is an example that is often confusing. Let's say LUDN showed "33". That means 3300 thru 3399 (all 100 numbers) are available.

If you added 3300 to a phone, then after that the LUDN would show 3301, 3302, 3303, 3304, 3305, 3306, 3307, 3308, 3309, 331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336, 337, 339 (which add up to 99 remaining numbers)

700 to 709 are type park, can i unpark 700?

Sure, if you aren't using the park feature or if changing the park numbers isn't a big deal to your end users. Go to LD 50 and change them to a different range of numbers.

You can change PARK DNs using LD50. However, your users may have become familiar with those - so changing them could be a mark against you.

If it were me, I _would_ change them. You should poke around the books, looking at the Park feature and how it works before rushing into a change.

Great, we don't use that feature.

So I changed the CPK from 20 700 (7000 to 7199) to 19 701 (7010 to 7199)

Now the 4 DN that I needed are free (7001 to 7004), NICE.

Thank you all for your help!
