Good day,

I am wondering why I can not make use of the Formulas button in the options ribbon in Excel 2007.

I used to be able to add custom calculations in my Pivot Tables by making use of the Formulas button however, for some reason this is now greyed out and not available anymore.

Can anyone say why this would be the case ?

With any cell in the Pivot Table selected, go to the PivotTable Tools > Options > Tools > Formulas > Calculated Field

The PivotTable Tools is the pink (by default) tab that only appears when a cell within a PT is selected.

Hi anotherhiggins,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am with you...I follow exactly what you say however, having done all this, I still find mine to be greyed out and I am unable to use that formula's option. The wierd thing is that I used it two weeks ago and I can't find the reason for it being disabled now.
