Hi,

When we try and upload or delete an existing Auto attendant message we get the error 'HTTP request failed: 405 Method Not Allowed'

If we enable local recording for the AA message it says, 'incompatible'

Any ideas of how this can be resolved without going to site and putting the SD card in the laptop?

Many Thanks,

Check the "Avaya HTTP Clients Only" isn't enabled. If it isn't that then you may be stuck checking the security settings for HTTP access.

Getting 'incompatible' when trying to record locally implies a short code or dialing error. It usually gets shown when the system can't match what's been dialed to a short code, extension number or external call route.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

The HTTP request issue normally comes up when trying to access the embedded files remotely on the external IP address, are you connecting directly to the system locally? Could be that the HTTP connection is being blocked

What version? I have been getting this error on a recent v10 system when I try to upload embedded VM language files. Just curios on my part about the system version.

Edit:

Just tested on 9.1.8 and get the same error as v10. Makes sense since they are in the same build cycle.

The system is on release 9. I am connected locally through TeamViewer. "Avaya HTTP Clients Only" isn't enabled.

HTTP on security settings is set to unsecure.

They had a dialler added to the system recently and call recording with port mirroring. Do you think any of these could have caused the issue?

Set the IP Address of the "File Writer IP Address" to 255.255.255.255, this enables you to manage the contents if the SD Card from any PC.

How is this dialler connected? Is it a external device between the phone lines? If yes then it has no impact on local recording ability.

At last it is possible that the SD Card is in read only mode, it can happen in various software versions.
Only a rebuild of the SD card can solve this problem.
