can't upload .htaccess files

Hi <br><br>I cannot FTP .htaccess files to virtualhost directors. <br>But the .conf file in apache has a line outside the hosts allowing .htaccess files:<br><br>AccessFile .htaccess<br><br>Any idea. What should I look for?

yes, i faced the same problem too. what i did was first rename the file to 'htaccess' (without the dot). FTP it to my server, use telnet to login to my server and rename the file to '.htaccess'. <p> <br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= > </a><br>ttest<br>

how do you telnet to free homepages providers such as Theglobe etc..
