Hello
I've posted previously but still can't find out what the problem is so I'm posting again.
I have Windows XP, Office XP Developer and using Crystal 9. I also have Crystal 8.5 loaded on my computer. Windows XP has Service Pack 2, Office XP has Service Pack 2 and Crystal 9 has the most recent patch.
When I try to create a new report or update the datasource of an existing report, I get the error message "crw32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". The program closes and an error report is sent to Microsoft (which they obviously aren't doing anything about because they've been sent a million)!
The program allows me to view the datasource screen but when I select the + beside the database to select another table to add to the report (or in the case of a new report, select the datasource tables) this occurs. Note that the database in question is MS-Access.
I found an article on Business Objects web page indicating to copy commoncontrols.dll to CR9 folder which I did (Knowledgebase article C2012920) but it didn't work. Note that I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office XP and Crystal to no avail.
I am getting so frustrated - can someone please help! Thanks.
Shelby
