Can't unlock server group

One of our servers says it has a virus now when i use symantec system centre the server has a red cross on ti and i cannot expand it to list the workstations under it.

Any suggestions how to unlock it.

Do you get any messages when you right click on the server and select unlock server group?

We can unlock it now but not view the servers they just have red boxes next to them.

Try to clear the virus from the servers quarantine by using the Server edition of the client that is installed on the server.

Unfortunatly the files have been deleted but are still listed in quarantine so it won't let me remove them.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

I cannot view the workstations under the server in the System center console but if i go to the machines i can see they are not receiving updates anymore.

Try this
1. Open SSC.
2. Click Tools, and then click Discovery Service.
3. Click "Clear Cache Now."
4. Click Yes in the warning dialog box.
5. Click OK.

Thanks for the reply but it didn't work I’m afraid, the red box stubbornly remains.

Never mind just have to reinstall.
