Can't uninstall Nortons!

Hi,
Im new to this forum, googled it to see if anyon can help.
I'm not a very computer savvy person.
I'm not sure what i did, perhaps restoring system defaults...but now my norton security is asking me for a Supervisor password. This is the free trial version. I cannot disable anything without logging into it, nor can i remove it from my system.
I keep getting a virus alert every 2 seconds with the stupid popups.
Please, someone help!! How do i get rid of it??
Ive tried resetting the password but its not doing anything.

Is it possible that you have a virus, i'd try an online scan like the one at trend.

If you do need to uninstall try SYMANTEC as the password thats the default on some of their products. If not there is a tool in the link below that will force an uninstall but it's not supported by symantec.
