Can't uninstall Internet Explorer 8

There is no "Remove" button for IE8 in Add and Remove Programs.

Any ideas why? How do I uninstall now?

Did you happen to install Internet Explorer 8 prior to installing Serivce Pack 3. If so you will need to uninstall Service Pack 3 before you can uninstall Internet Explorer 8. If this is not the case and Internet Explorer 8 is just not showing up under "Add/Remove Programs", then follow the steps in the "Alternative steps for Windows XP or for Windows Server 2003" link below.

Oh lord, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Why would Microsoft do that?
