can't type french chars any longer

Hello,

I have a problem with my office xp pro (on a xp pro machine)
with typing french chars (like é, è, â, ...)
if i press the ´-key the result is at once ´´ (as i would type the key twice)

Does anyone knows what that could be and why?

I had the same problem, but it's not related to office. Try with Notepad, you'll get the same result. I had to «Restore» my system to an earlier date to fix this.
