Can't Turn Off "Format with Multiple Columns" Setting

We have a prescription report at work that was designed to print two columns. For the Detail section, the "Format with Multiple Columns" is checked. As an aside, the right side of the report is shaded blue and can't be edited.

We also have a special printer that prints single prescriptions so the multiple column setting is not needed. When we print odd numbers of prescriptions, the printer prints a blank sheet. When we print an even number of prescriptions, the printer prints correctly (this is why we think it's the "Format with Multiple Columns" setting).

The problem is, this check box is ghosted out and we can't for the life of us get it to become active.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks,

Fritz

I think this is because the Mailing Label type was selected when designing the report. You could select the higher order Details section in the section export->layout tab and make the width of the field wide enough so that only one column will fit. You would probably also want to then go into file->page setup and reset the left margin. Otherwise I think you have to start from scratch.
