I'm trying to telnet to a SCO Openserver box from the internet through a Sysco PIX501 firewall. I get no response, nor can I ping the box from the outside.

If I telnet into a linux server on the local network, I can then telnet from there into the unix box and ping it as well.

Obviously, there is some setting on the SCO machine that is refusing outside connections, but allowing inside ones. Where is this and how do I change it?

Can you ping anything on the internet from your SCO box? If not, it sounds like you don't have a default gateway defined. Annihilannic.
