Can't synchronize Rex5000 and Sidekick 98 with TrueSync

How can I synchronize my ancient Sidekick and Rex?
I use a Sony Vaio with XP Pro. The old TrueSync Desktop doesn't see the Rex in the PCMCIA slot. As well, I am told I need new drivers for XP.
