Can't switch to Query Design view

Hello and happy new your for everyone!!!
I come here with a weird(for me) issue, i'm working on MS Office 2003, and everything is working fine except for two behaviors that are making me hit my head against the wall.
1.EVERY time i'm working in queries (*.mds or *.adps) in design view and the switch to SQL view it works fine, but when i want to go back the design view from the SQL view i get this err.

Microsoft Office Access can't run the macro or callback function "fdesign"
Make sure the macro or function exist and takes the correct parameters

And this is not because the t-sql can't be graphically represented, its enough to have one field and switch between views for this to happen. I'd tryed re-installing Office and does not work.

2.This one is not less rare, when i need to insert a rich textbox (ActiveX) control Access gives me this err:
Microsoft Access doesn't support this ActiveX control
It is imposible, i had some apps that had been working fine, furthermore i can add almost any (Licenced/Registered) ActiveX control without any problem, as far as i tested it just happens with the rich textbox

If some one can give me advice or a point me a source where i can go to read something about it, deeply thank you.

G'd evening Xhonzi!
The only way i found was to install the Service Pack 6 for Visual Basic 6.0: Run-Time Redistribution Pack (vbrun60sp6.exe). That worked for me. You can donwload it here:

Before install, close all ms office applications. If it doesn't work, you will have to find a third party rtf control.

I d/l'ed that as you suggested and I'm sorry to say it didn't do anything for me. I also d/l'ed the VB Service Pack 6 and that won't seem to install.

Any other hints?

Still can't get a RTB in Access 2003. Even with a SP6 RTB...

It’s a security issue preventing Internet Explorer from loading RTF documents (and probably viruses) and Microsoft’s solution is to kill the Rich Textbox for everyone and tell everyone to either use HTML if you want text in color or do some weird scheme of creating a container control to host the Rich Textbox control. I don’t really understand it so look at the article 838010 on the Microsoft’s website. From Google searches there appears to be a page in French, I believe from Microsoft, explaining the problem and how to break the security. It was from some english pages that talk about the french page where I found the reg key to break the security.

Advise from Microsoft is to NOT break the security and I would tend to agree with Microsoft on this. If you need the RTF control now (and you have Windows XP) then you can use the following command lines to view, set or clear this security. But make serious plans on abandoning the standard use of the Rich Textbox control for some other solution.

To view:
