the cross tabe has seven rows , and 12 columns for each month. i want to supress last two rows. i tried this formula in the X+2 box,
{Testtabel.Department}='Finance' or {Testtabel.Department}='HR'
None of the rows with above depts disappear. As if the report igonres this supress function and still shows last two rows with above departement names.

any help, idea? thanks in advance

To eliminate rows from the report use:

Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record:

{Testtabel.Department}='Finance'
or
{Testtabel.Department}='HR'

-k

i want to pull all departements, so i can't restrict record selection, is there a way to just supress from the cross tab report? i am not understanding why only in cross tab supress doesn't work. We should be able to supress any thing conditonally.

thanks,

You could select the department row field within the crosstab and then select "Group Options" and choose "Specified Order". Add the departments from the dropdown list that you want displayed, and then click the "Others" tab and choose "Discard all others".
