Can't stop pinging

I just installed my first RedHat, 7.2.
When i ping to the localhost, 127.0.0.1, ICPM echo runs forever.

How do I stop this?

If you want to ping an address N times, issue:

ping -c N <address>

more information can be found on this and other *-nix commands by issuing &quot;man <command name>&quot;, in this specific case, &quot;man ping&quot;. ______________________________________________________________________

Press CTRL-C to stop the ping process. CTRL-C send the terminate signal to most processes.
