Can't stop job on ArcServe 6.61 1

We can't seem to stop a job that's running on ArcServe 6.61. Stopping and restarting services aren't helping, I know there is a patch for ArcServe 2000 but this is 6.61.

Any ideas.

I don't know which fix this is but, as a workaround :
1.stop the three engines (database, job, tape)
2. go to the directory 00000001.qsd and check for the job that has a corresponding *.chk file ( the hanging job)
3, delete both the job and the chk file
4. restart the engines

this will always work, but you will have to recreate the backup job
