Can't Start Volmgt?? Daemon.Error

I reinstalled Volmgt package and then did a reboot -- -r. But The Volmgt process wont start up. I get an error message.

/usr/sbin/vold[415]: [ID 205485 daemon.error] vol_init failed (can't communicate with kernel)

The other codes I get after the /usr/sbin/vold; are 415, 430, and 441.

What is this error and how do I fix it so volmgt sill start again?
