cant start toshiba satellite

  I'm working on a satellite 2530cds that won't get past the company logo when it is powered on. There was no apparent cause for this that I know of. The machine is just out of warantee so Toshiba's not interested. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hi,<br><br>Your power supply is going up. It doesn't have enough schmaltz to complete the Windows initialization.&nbsp;&nbsp;I know this doesn't sound relevant, but I'm sure that's your problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;Had a Toshiba that did the same thing.<br><br>Leroy

I have a Toshiba satellite lap top but it doesn´t detect the dc adapter and there is no response from anything...
I´ll appreciate any help.. Thanks
