I received this email from a fellow tech requesting help but i'm not sure what the solution is. I don't know whether they are using 95 or 98.
It read:
"I have a plug and play network card that I am trying to set up, the computer picks it up on bootup , but it won't automatically show up in the network icon of the control panel to let me configure it.

When I check it in device manager to see if there is any conflicts, there are about 10-20 network cards showing up there with a red "X". So I remove each one and the same process happens over and over again.

I already tried switching this card with a known working one and the same thing happens. I have completely removed it (physically) and still it happens. The card is a SMC9432TX Etherpower II 10/100 (ODI). I have the correct drivers for this card."
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
maybe he can pop it, then in network config , add the card's driver, but not add it when it ask for it when he boots up.
Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in , or have messed with : VC++, Borland C++ Builder, VJ++6(starting),VB-Dos, VB1 thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, Borland C++ 3(DOS), Borland C++ 4.5, HTML, ASP(somewhat), QBasic(least i didnt start with COBOL)
