I've got a baystack 350T-HD switch, a 450T-24 switch and several Baystack ARN's. My problem is that I've reset them all to default values - so all IP's are showing as 0.0.0.0 - I do not use bootp so I want to manually set the IP/subnet/gateway info on the devices. When I try on any of the devices I get "INVALID IP ADDRESS" no matter what addresses I enter. This happens for all 3 fields (IP/sub/gateway).
I'm using a WinXP PC connecting via serial cable.

Please advise! thanks!

What are you entering for the values of each?

W00t! I found the answer - well, a work-around at least. The problem appears to be with WinXP's hyperTerminal program. I downloaded a 3rd party terminal program (Absolute Software's Absolute CRT) and it worked with no problems on all my devices.

once again - way to go Micro$oft - delivering top quality products as usual.

Hmm...oddly I've had no problem with WinXP Pro and either telnet or hyperterm...
