I have a 3rd party active x control. Access makes you set focus to the control before you can reference it. However, this control has it built in where the 'visible" property is set to no and cannot be changed. Any ideas on how to reference the control without having it needing focus?

Ummm... As far as I'm aware, a control doesn't need focus in order to reference it in code. What is it you are trying to do that isn't working?

Hi there. Yes, Access has this thing with Active X controls. If they do not have the focus in a form, you cannot reference them in code. I basically have an active x control, that does not allow itself to be visible, thus I cannot set the focus to it. Just was seeing if there was a way to get around this Access limitation.

What control are you having problems with. I reference values in captions, textboxes, calendar controls, subforms, etc etc ALL the time without setting focus to the control in question.
