Apache 2.0.49 on SuSE linux 9.0, IE6 browser. I've got some training videos rendered as .mpg I need to distribute on our corporate website. When I click on a link to any of the files IE asks whether I want to open the video in IE or MediaPlayer. Regardless of which method I use, the player just says "Connecting..." and sits there until closed. I can right click the link and save the target.

I suspect I don't have the MIME type specified correctly. In the mime.types file I do have an entry that says:
video/mpeg mpg mpe mpeg

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, it seems to be a problem with our in-house produced mpegs. Other mpegs I swiped from the 'net serve up just fine.
