Cant send email with act

I recently upgraded to act 6 and I setup to send email with outlook 2000. I type a message to a contact and when I click send it goes to the outbox in act email and in outlook. The problem is that the message Is sent to my email address instead of the contact. I really would like some help on this. Thanks
