Can't 'SELECT' or 'GRANT' MSysObject

This is really two Access 2007 problems ...

1) I can 'select' from MSysObjects while in Access but not from an external C# program. I do not have permission to 'read' table MSysObjects.

2) I cannot execute 'GRANT' either within Access or from a C# program to rectify 1).

help.

MSysObjects is a system table. Microsoft don't recommend reading its data directly to obtain metadata about your database.
Instead, they recommend using the object model (either via VBA or in C# using Visual studio tools for Office) to obtain the necessary information.
