Cant see workgroup but can access

Small setup .. 1 NT4 server and 3 win2000 on workgroup .

whenever i get in the morning i turn on the server , from time to time , i cant seems to see the workgroup , even thought when i do a search for computers after i specified the name of my machine it will find it and access all the shared files, but what i really wanted to know is why it dosent show the workgroup on network neighbourhood from time to time ?

Sounds strange.
We had problems like this in certain areas albeit a more complicated VLAN structured network.
One of the issues was the old DLink NICs in some 9x clients.
Another thing to do is get the latest driver for the server NIC.
