Hi,
After Windows XP was installed on my computer I am not able to see the print status of the jobs currently in the queue on any of the printers on the network and therefore I am not able to cancel a print job. I am wondering if this is not allowed in Windows XP?
Thanks.

Read about Manage Printers.

If you manage a printer, you can control certain operations from the print queue. For example, you can pause or resume operation of the printer, and you can cancel printing of all documents waiting to be printed.

What boxes do you have checked in Printers And Faxes/ File/ Server Properties /Advanced?

Displays the status of print jobs in a pop-up window, when printing to a stand-alone network printer or to a printer attached directly to your computer. This pop-up window appears near the notification area of the user who sent the print job.

If you right-click on a printer there are options to pause or resume printing.
