Hi,

We have many different cisco networks all over the united states. When use ciscoworks, I only see one site of these networks.

My question is how can I see the whole networks?

why is the possible reason that prevents me from seeing others? does ciscoworks have different server setup in different locations?

thanks,

H.W.

Hi,

Which component of CiscoWorks are you referring to ?

I assume that maybe it is Campus Manager, as it is the only component that shows maps.

CM uses a combination of CDP and SNMP to interrogate devices and build its database. It builds lists of CDP neighbours to find adjacent devices. So, if you have 2 devices that do not talk CDP to each other, then CM cannot figure out how they are connected. This is a typical scenario if you have a managed WAN, or WAN equipment form a non-Cisco vendor.

If this is the case, then you can add seed devices to tell CM where to look for devices beyond CDP boundaries.

Does this help ?
