Can't see the Mcafee Console

I hope I get this right because its been a few weeks since I was in front of this particular PC.

The owner asked me to install their recently purchased Mcafee 2006 suite. The install went just like any other install I've ever done. I then went to download the latest updates. That also went fine and I was asked to reboot the PC after it was done. After it rebooted I wanted to run a scan because of suspected virus infection. But when I opened the McAfee console it was blank. I can no longer see the contents of the console and there fore can't run any options.

I don't know where to look to fix this issue.
