It was a painstaking first solo attempt process but I finally managed to get a full backup to span accross two tapes in a cascaded drive pool arrangement. I have a job which completed all 92.5Gb shown in the activity monitor and the job log presents:

Drive and media information from media mount:
Robotic Library Name:
Drive Name: QUANTUM SCSI 4
Slot: 0
Media GUID: {31ED3945-EF49-11D7-8AEF-00508B5BC1C0}
Media Label: LONMSX01 WEEK 4 #1
Overwrite Protection Time Left: 5 Days
Append Time Left: Infinite
Targeted Media Set Name: Media Set 1

...and midway through...:

Drive and media information from media mount:
Robotic Library Name:
Drive Name: QUANTUM SCSI 5
Slot: 0
Media GUID: {5D2F8AFE-F041-11D7-8AEF-00508B5BC1C0}
Media Label: LONMSX01 WEEK 4 #2
Overwrite Protection Time Left: 5 Days
Append Time Left: Infinite
Targeted Media Set Name: Media Set 1
Backup set #4 on storage media #2

Just to be sure I thought I'd look at the restore selections and on the Media view can see as I would expect:

Media Name: "Media created 26/09/03 17:59:49 (LONMSX01 WEEK 4 #1

but where is tape #2 ???

On the media tab itself I can see both tapes. I can even re-catalogue tape #2 but I just can't seen to make it appear under the restore tabs which is the whole point of my spanning tape endeavors.

Have I missed anything obvious?
