can't see properties of objects

I was working on a report in the designer and changing the names of some of the text objects so they would be more intuitive for runtime changes from VB.

suddenly I can't access the properties window for any of the objects in the report, I can only see the properties for the "ICRDesigner".

What the heck did i do? I am using a new laptop did I just turn something off or is this a bug?

Please respond I am doing final tweaking I have a code freeze 10:00 tonight and I have a lot to do.

This problem continued to occur off and on. I dunno I shut VB down a couple times and got it to work I also found if I left the Designer and clicked on some Forms and form controls I could get it to see the properties sometimes the property box would be completely empty.

I don't know if this is just a bad install or system conflict but it was a major pain in the but.

I have never heard of that.
