We have a WAN set up over a total of 5 LANS. The problem is, at site 1, you cannot see the network at site 2. Each site can only see their domains.
However, all sites communicate over the WAN to access the proxy server, which is alone on a domain.
Using Cisco Routers & Switches along the way..
Site 1: 192.168.10.1 (Router)
Site 2: 192.168.20.1 (Router)
etc..for 5 sites.
The IP Schemes at each site follow, being .2-.254
All subnet masks are 255.255.255.0
What am I missing??!

You should separate out IP issues from Microsoft naming/netbios issues. First, IP. Are you are saying that the proxy works across the WAN, that is, that the remote locations can PING back to the central site? If yes, then you do not have a pure IP problem. If no, you must solve this routing problem first and get IP working.

Once IP is working, make sure you are using a WINS server at the central site and coding the remote workstations to use it. Also check out the node-type for your remote workstations. It needs to be something other than 'B'. 'H' is what we normally use. That way they will have WINS/IP access to NETBIOS names in your network, and not rely on broadcasts, which are not normally passed over a router.

Hope this gives you something to work on. Good luck!

Frank
